Usiminas is the largest and most modern flat steel complex in Latin America, and a leader in the production and sale of steel. Every year, its Usiminas Jovem Aprendiz 2015 program aims to train young professionals for future hiring. Through the program, students develop fundamental skills to operate in various business areas within Usiminas. In partnership with the National Industrial Learning Service (Senai), the Usiminas Apprentices program takes place at steel plants in the cities of Ipatinga (Minas Gerais) and Cubatão (São Paulo).
In the mining unit, vacancies are available in the areas of Steel Process Operator, Electrical Maintenance and Maintenance Mechanic. In this new unit, the vacancies are for the Steel Process Control Operator, Industrial Facilities Mechanic and Electronic Equipment and Systems Maintainer sectors. Usiminas students are entitled to a minimum hourly wage/month, food during the practical phase at the company, vouchers, life insurance and health insurance.
